World Hepatitis Day (WHD) is celebrated worldwide on July 28. It is essential to emphasize the need for diagnosis for all patients, because it is still too underdiagnosed.
Moreover, in order to avoid complications such as cirrhosis and therefore also liver encephalopathy, the scientific community and patient organizations are very focused on the follow-up of the patients.
World Hepatitis Day is designed to raise awareness. In Italy it is often celebrated between the end of November and December, thanks to the Association of Patients EpaC.
