The Bologna Festival, a classical music festival of the Italian city, dedicates it to its beloved artistic director Mario Messinis, the musicologist and cultural organizer, director of 27 editions of the City Festival, from 1993 to 2019, who died in recent days. In the program, the famous Symphony “from the New World” by Dvořák and in pages of composers linked to the city of Bologna such as Giuseppe Martucci (Notturno op.70), Marco Enrico Bossi (Serenatina) and Ferruccio Busoni (Berceuse élégiaque op.42), the same ones that Mahler chose for his last concert directed in New York in 1911.
